Oklahoma Justice System Introduces ‘Free Pass Fridays’ for Politicians in Nude Photo Scandals

Oklahoma City, OK – In a sweeping judicial reform unveiled this week, the Oklahoma State Justice Department has announced the introduction of “Free Pass Fridays,” a new legal provision exempting sitting and aspiring politicians from prosecution in cases involving accidental or intentional distribution of nude photographs, provided the incidents occur before noon on Fridays.

Justice Secretary Merle Devins explained at a press briefing that the policy was developed in consultation with the bipartisan Commission on Political Decency, which convened a series of closed-door meetings after a 2023 study found that 68% of Oklahoma elected officials had faced or anticipated facing allegations involving inappropriate images. “We are acknowledging the realities of modern digital communication,” stated Devins, “and seeking to ensure that Friday morning lapses in judgment do not impede vital governance.”

Legal analysts point to several unique stipulations, including an amnesty window beginning at midnight Thursday and ending promptly at 11:59 a.m. Friday, during which politicians may disclose, forward, or inadvertently post nude photographs without fear of criminal repercussions. According to the commission’s 97-page guidelines, images sent via encrypted messaging apps or accidentally CC’ed to school boards qualify, but only if accompanied by a formal declaration of personal embarrassment within 72 hours. The guidelines also clarify that Full Moon Fridays, which occur quarterly, extend the amnesty until sundown, in recognition of what committee chair Dr. Raleigh Pratt called “heightened susceptibility to impulsive behavior among public servants during celestial anomalies.”

Despite initial confusion, officials have assured the public that Free Pass Fridays will not apply to non-politicians, nor to instances of mass-distribution or subscription-based digital nudity. However, the measure does include a provision for expedited case dismissal if a nude photograph involves patriotic body paint or the presence of more than three American flags within the frame. “These are leaders under extraordinary pressure,” said State Prosecutor Vince Molloy, who estimated that the policy would free up approximately 14,000 court hours annually. “By limiting accountability to four days a week, we hope our institutions will become even more robust.”

Reactions have been mixed across Oklahoma’s legal sector.
