And I don\u2019t care who gets mad about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The post, which immediately ignited a firestorm of debate among his 234 friends and their extended networks, has been described by some as \u201cthe single bravest thing anyone has ever said on Facebook.\u201d Others, however, were quick to challenge Dunlap\u2019s bold stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBro, have you even had the McRib?\u201d wrote local man Kyle Tanner, who lists &#8220;Fast Food Connoisseur&#8221; as one of his official job titles. \u201cThat\u2019s seasonal cuisine. That\u2019s exclusive. That\u2019s gourmet, my guy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another user, Janice Fletcher, fired back with an impassioned 300-word comment detailing the handcrafted nature of McDonald&#8217;s burgers, citing their \u201ccurated sauce blends\u201d and \u201cartistically melted cheese,\u201d before concluding with, \u201cSome of us have TASTE, Kevin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the backlash, Dunlap stood firm, later clarifying his position in a follow-up post: \u201cI\u2019m not saying McDonald\u2019s is bad, I\u2019m just saying it\u2019s not in the same category as a five-star restaurant. You don\u2019t see Gordon Ramsay plating up a Filet-O-Fish.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His bravery has since earned him comparisons to historical truth-tellers, with one commenter referring to him as \u201cthe Galileo of fast food discourse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In response to the controversy, McDonald\u2019s issued a vague but ominous corporate statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hear our customers. We see their passion.
